Spider Problems in Homes and Businesses

One of the more common residential pest control issues are surrounded around dealing with spiders.  Spiders are easy to find because anywhere in your yard, room, bathroom, kitchen, or garage you could walk right into a spider web and know immediately a spider is living near by.  Most spiders look the same with a relatively similar body frame with eight legs, no wings, antennas, or long tails.  It is very simple to identify spiders.

Although you may see a spider, there are so many different spiders that identifying the exact breed or type may be challenging.  Some common spiders a resident could face on a daily basis include but not limited to: recluse spiders, black spiders, house spiders, brown spiders, jumping spiders, red spiders, white spiders, black spiders, poison spiders, venomous spiders, garden spider, and wood spiders.

Spiders either live in moist, wet parts of the house like kitchens, bathrooms, and water heater rooms or dry parts of the house like the attic or garage.  Chances are if you see spiders present in your house it’s because there are other insects in the house that are apart of the spider food chain.

Spiders may enter your house or place of business two different ways, accidentally, or on purpose.  Typically, if a spider comes in your house accidentally, it’s brought in from a box, bag, or other object you were using.  If any windows, doors, or floors are cracked and allow for any empty space this may be the perfect way spiders walk right in your house.  Whether it’s a small spider or large spider, it does not matter.  What matters is the situation is addressed quickly.  If there is one spider enjoying living in your home, than there are likely many more that would too. So if your luck allowed you to house a pregnant female spider, you could have a very terrible spider problem on your hand.
There is only one reason spiders come inside, it’s to prey and eat the weak insects around.  It’s crucial to be aware if spiders are currently in your place because other pests may be harboring that need bed bug attention.  Spiders feed off other insects which makes them predators.  House spiders won’t come in to your kitchen and eat all your food, there looking for other weak pests to have for dinner.

The biggest indicator of a current spider issue is either seeing spiders crawling around or seeing spider webs.  Most people will try and kill the spider upon seeing it which is important but there could still be a pack of spiders to kill as well.  Killing more than one spider takes certain level of skill and finesse.  You need someone with years of spider experience and knowledge.  Failing to notice spider signs can make life a lot more uncomfortable.

Your Walnut Creek pest control management company will be able to handle any and all problems when it comes to spiders in and around your business or place of residence.  Like previously stated, finding spiders in your place is a big  indicator of much more problems than just spiders.  Depending on what the spiders are preying on, the issue could be much larger. Spiders will eat any kind of insect that will get stuck in their web, or that they can stick their fangs in. If they are surviving well, this could be indicative of additional insects taking up shelter in your home. For example, spiders have eaten bed bugs, flies, fleas, moths, and many other kinds of bugs. If you see some spiders, know that there are likely other insects below the food chain roaming around your house as well.
